Information about the film thickness and surface roughness is obtained from the excitation of surface plasmons and mobility measurements of surface state electrons. The equilibrium studies show triplepoint wetting for H2 on Au substrates, in agreement with earlier results for similar systems. Unexpectedly a distinct hysteretic behavior of the saturated film thickness is found near the triple-point. Superfluid 4He films on as prepared Ag display complete wetting. Investigations of H2 films in metastable states prepared by quench-condensation at 1.6K reveal pronounced changes in the film structure upon annealing. These changes set in far below the desorption temperature and are ascribed to surface diffusion.</dcterms:abstract> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-03-24T14:52:49Z</dcterms:available> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/41"/> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/legalcode"/> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-03-24T14:52:49Z</dc:date> <dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format> <dc:contributor>Leiderer, Paul</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Albrecht, Uwe</dc:contributor> <dc:creator>Albrecht, Uwe</dc:creator> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/5063/1/120_jlowtempph_1992.pdf"/> <dcterms:title>Investigation of quantum systems with surface plasmons and surface state electrons</dcterms:title> <dcterms:issued>1992</dcterms:issued> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="http://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/5063"/> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/41"/> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dc:creator>Leiderer, Paul</dc:creator> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/5063/1/120_jlowtempph_1992.pdf"/> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Journal of Low Temperature Physics 89 (1992), 1-2, pp. 229-238</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
