Summary:
In the course of the reaction of (C5H5)2NbH(CO) with Brönsted acids, the participation of two cationic intermediates has been observed. Interconversion reactions between these reactive (C5H5)2NbIII derivatives and stable reaction products according to the following scheme are described.
